All services are an hour or less, in your home (usually in your bathroom) with you present in support of care.

Better Kitty works with your cat in the grooming process. Your cat's comfort and safety is important to us. That's why we come to you! Cats are happy and feel safest in their territory--with you, in your home.

Did you know? Grooming your cat regularly will improve you and your cat's quality of life. Both long-haired and short-haired cats benefit!

Prices are effective Jan. 1, 2026. Appointments booked in 2025 will be charged at the old rates.

ESSENTIAL GROOM

Comprehensive package ideal for keeping fur healthy and addressing undercoat and shedding issues.

This service is not appropriate for cats with severe or extensive matting. See Lion Shave Package.

LION SHAVE

For cats who are matted or pelted, or for long-haired cats in warmer months.

Includes:

A full-body, short lion shave. Leaves 1/16" fur, feels like velvet!
Your choice of tail style - full tail, pom-pom, or paint brush

Eye cleaning
Ear care

An additional $25 fee will be added if severe matting or pelting is present.

ELDER KITTY

For cats 15 and older. Each cat's grooming needs are unique, together we will assess what's needed to keep them feeling their best.

We move slowly to ensure elder cat comfort, discuss specific ways to support seniors, and provide recommendations for age related issues.

At minimum includes:

Coat brush-out
Oral Health evaluation
Senior care guidance and recommendations

Based on assessment, may also include:

Limited shaving of isolated mats
Undercoat removal
Kitty sanitary shave

BEHAVIOR CARE

We bring formal and experiential training in feline behavior. Create and nurture a better relationship with your cat as you better understand your cat’s environmental needs, natural behaviors, and nuances. Our in-home behavior care consultations are customized to your individual situation. We supply practical advice and positive solutions.

BETTER KITTY COMPANIONS

One hour sessions, that take place in the comfort of your home with your cat, will help to provide insight for your cats needs including mental, emotional, and physical health.

We, at Better Kitty, believe that living with cats is a companionship or guardianship instead of ownership. With this point of view in mind, we always take into consideration the quality of life for our beloved felines. These hands-on, family-oriented sessions are customized to suit your family’s household dynamics to facilitate a better kitty living environment for all members of the household. Some of the topics we cover are:

How to properly and confidently:

hold and carry your cat
administer medication or pills
set up your home to include your cats’ comfort (placement locations and types of food, litter, furniture)
brush your cat (short-haired cats need brushing too)
safely trim your cat’s nails
